I've had an unnamed auto reel for several years, however, it rarely locked itself when pulled out, also had to be pushed and pulled to start the autoreel back in again and it rarely went all the way back in. In short it was garbage but I thought that was normal, then the spring mechanism broke so I had to purchase a new one, I opted for the Hozelock auto reel, am I pleased I did, compared to my old one, this is luxury, it actually does everything it says it does.
It pulls out and locks itself, then a little tug on the hose and it reels itself back in again.
I did read some reviews before I bought it and some were saying that they had bother with theirs, they nust have been unlucky, or I've been lucky.
But it is a fantastic bit of kit and I'd recommend it to anyone thinking of purchasing one.

Well worth the money this one! Sturdy and easy to fit/ set up. Will save you so much time with the auto re-wind. Also you will never have to search for the kink in the hose again, this will never kink. 20m reach is generous and certainly enough for you average house, mine goes through the house to the front garden!
A pleasure to use, highly recccommnded.

A good product that was easy to fit to the wall and works well. The auto hose retrieve is a great help and the hose locking device is very useful in keeping the right length of hose available, though it does take a bit of getting used to in order to lock. The hose length of 20m may be a little short for some. All in all a good buy.

Excellent item in every way. Constructed of strong plastic and perfect length for most gardens. Comes with more fittings than required to get it up and running including an adaptor for the older style of garden taps. Amazon is the cheapest place that I could find for this product.
