Having had a number of flymo hover mowers, all broken, and read a number of reviews for the Bosch Rotak I have decided to invest in the 34 model. Just noticed B&Q are giving 20% off everything over £50 this weekend. So Rotak 34 for £80 here I come.

My task was easy, I saw a Bosh product and was happy to buy. Assembly was easy, do buy Cable attachment, have not tried it yet, weather horrible!!. I know it will do the job very well!!.

Fantastic - ditch the Flymos December 22, 2009

Never been happy with my Flymo but thought that was the standard, then used my partner's Bosch which we chose together - revelation, straight lines, even cutting, no mess, easy mowing.
Then my old Flymo went this summer, and borrowed one and that went too, and then used a new one, and that went. Flimsy, badly engineered, rubbish.
Got one of these and have been smiling ever since, why oh why did I persevere with Flymos? Perhaps because they are for sale in so many outlets, you tend to think they are the "standard".

I can only comment on the assembly of the machine as I have not used it yet - it is mid-December!
The first machine delivered had the upper casing mis-aligned and it was impossible to fit the handles. It was returned and two days after I reported the problem, a replacement machine was delivered. I was very impressed by the way with which my complaint was dealt.
The fitting of the handles for the second machine was still a bit awkward and the holes for the bolt had to be aligned using a screwdriver.
