I was hooked by all the good reviews and the infomercial on tv, so I bought it. I've had mine about a month. First off, I did not know it would be so weird to mop with a cord....but, it is. You would think you do just fine vacuuming, what could be different? Not sure, but it's weird. It's not fantastic at getting dried on dirt up, I've had way more luck with a regular sponge mop, and I can flip the sponge mop over for the scrubbing action. Can't do that with the Haan. I have to go back after I mopped with a scrub sponge to get the dried on dirt. I bought this because I was intrigued by the fact that the floor is instantly dry, but getting the thing out, setting it up, waiting for it to heat up, is not worth the fact that the floor is instantly dry...because it isn't. Plus, I really miss the artificial "lemon" smell I get from conventional cleaners...didn't think I would, but I do. All in all, even though I bought it, I'm not sold on the Haan steam mop.

I love this product. It is so easy to use and dries in under a minute! My 1 yr old is always following as I sweep and mop and he was always slipping, with this he can walk right across it. I have tile in my laundry room and linoleum in the rest of the house and it works great on both. We have black Florida dirt in our back yard so it is hard to keep the floor clean, after only one use the floor is cleaner than 2-3 times mopping!!! The cord is long enough and the handle is great because I am short and my hubby is tall so we can both comfortably use it. With kids, and animals, dropping food and then eating it off the floor I don't have to worry about chemicals. The pads are super easy to clean and reuse! No more having to buy mop heads and cleaners.
Great product I would totally recommend it, in fact I have and my grandmother now owns one!

I ordered a refurbished Haan through Amazon after using one at my friend's house while helping him get ready to show his house (2 million dollar home). My friend was very enthusiastic about this machine, and after cleaning the entire hardwood first floor of his house with it I could see why! This machine is lightweight, easy to use, quick to refill, quick to heat up, and most importantly, it does the job! I use it daily on my floors, it is so fast and easy to use that it makes daily cleaning an easy task. The floors look amazingly clean, and it didn't take me all day to get the job done. I have a roomba too, so I start the roomba and get busy with my haan and have a clean apartment in no time!
I also have used this on my carpets for stains and such. I use this plus a microfiber cloth to get most stains out of the carpets easily. I have a 9 year old boy, and a small dog, and my apartment stays spotless very effortlessly, I love it!
If you are thinking of ordering a refurbished haan from govacuum, I can say mine was $30 cheaper than the amazon price, and works perfectly. It came in the original box with all of the parts, two new microfiber pads, and a free calculator thrown in for good measure! Everything was in the plastic bags, it was just like brand new. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase, and I would recommend this product and that supplier!

I've had my Haan for about two weeks now and I really enjoy it. It's pretty quiet, has a nice long cord and the pads do a great job of picking up 90% of the water left behind (the other 10% usually evaporates in about a minute. FYI - I have pre-finished hardwood). The Velcro on the pads makes them very easy to attach, and their texture ( a mix of rough and soft cloth) is the perfect mix for gliding effortlessly over the floor while leaving the cleaned areas pristine.
I've found it particularly useful in cleaning my kitchen floors daily, which track plenty of oil/dirt/food from all the foot traffic. Same goes for under my kids high chair.
SO WHY DID'NT I GIVE IT 5 STARS?:
1. It takes about 3 minutes to heat up
-It feels like forever, especially compared to my old h2o mop which took only 60 seconds (then again, the h2o mop stunk).
2. It doesn't always pickup large stuck-on food
-I have kids, so parents know exactly what I'm talking about. Kid drops food, food gets stepped on, food becomes part of the floor. This mop does about a "B-" job of picking that kind of stuff up. Then again, I bought it to clean my floor's and (aside from this fact) it does a good job of doing it.
My advice is to get this mop, but buy extra cleaning pads. I have about 7, so that I always have a fresh one whenever I want to clean my floors. Once I use them, I just put them in with my wash and let them air dry. This is from experience. If you reuse the same pad over and over again (without washing it) it will make you house smell like a moldy towel.
